Hello, friends, family, and followers!
So, as you may or may not have noticed, I have been on a bit of a hiatus from this blog…for six months.
It ended up getting to a point where I got locked out of the blog and had to go around my butt to get to my elbow in order to get it back.
It was quite a day.
Anyway!
Since my last post, I have finished Peace Corps, got a job as an online English teacher, worked at a cat cafe, travelled to Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Georgia, Ireland and the UK, had surgery, celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas with my family, and moved to Dublin!
I’ve been in Dublin for 12 days so far and I am enjoying it. My days have been filled with job searches, freelance writing for Babylon Radio, and getting to know my new home city. It’s been exhausting, but I am really beginning to feel like I am settling down.
I promise that I will update this blog a lot more often. In fact, I have four posts planned for this week alone, and more to come throughout the coming months.
Dublin is a brand new adventure, and is something completely different to my time in Namibia. Completely new culture, new way of doing things, new CLIMATE (Hello, rain and cold, I’M READY FOR YOU).
I’m excited for this new chapter in my life. I’m hoping that it holds more stability and routine. Don’t get me wrong, I loved my time in Peace Corps, but I did miss having certainty in where I will be and what I will be doing more than a week in advance.
I’m still not there yet…but I am heading in that direction.
