Hello everyone!
First off, I want to apologize for the lack of posting for the past couple of months. Things got a lot more hectic than expected so I had a lot less time to sit down and write. But hopefully I will have more time to do that this term!
Since I last posted I went on two vacations, finished my first term as a teacher in Namibia, and had a gallbladder removal surgery, which thankfully went smoothly.
The entire first term was constantly interrupted with trips to Windhoek for medical purposes. I was feeling sick all the time, which in turn started to take a toll on my mental health. After a couple of months of not knowing, they finally traced the root of the problem and a month later I was able to have a quick surgery that solved most of the issues going on.
Peace Corps has a great medical staff and I was very lucky to be in their care. So, hopefully Term 2 can go off without a hitch and I won’t have to constantly leave my learners.
This week I plan on writing about both my March and May vacations and my first term as a teacher. I also have planned a few posts about the Peace Corps and what volunteers do in order to answer several questions I’ve been getting from the folks back home.
