Hello and Happy New Year!

I can’t believe that it is already 2018. 2017 went by so fast, but so much happened including:

I wrote, defended, and published a thesis,

I graduated from university,

I got accepted to the Peace Corps,

I moved to Namibia,

I’m living completely on my own for the first time ever, and

I became a teacher.

Hopefully 2018 will be just as great, if not better!

I’m sorry that I haven’t posted on this blog in well over a month. After the reconnect conference at the beginning of December I travelled around a lot for our December break and also made a quick trip to the UK to visit family for Christmas. then, almost as soon as I got back to site, we had to start working on preparing for the school year. There have been time tables to sort, lessons to plan, and classrooms to prepare. It’s been a whirlwind.

But, I am going to make much more of an effort to post as regularly as I can, data allowing!

I have a lot of exciting things coming up and I can’t wait to share.
